About Wheat Legal PLLC
We are a small firm in Seattle, Washington, that was founded in 2018 and continues to grow in scope and impact. Our attorney is deeply rooted in the metro area, often volunteering in their communities. Our practice’s dual focus includes both commercial litigation and transactional matters in business and estate law.
What To Expect From Us
We prefer to meet all new clients in person at least once, but we understand that this may not always be possible. We respect and accommodate our clients’ varied legal needs, including the following:
- Our corporate services include corporate planning and compliance, licensing, intellectual property (IP) strategies and technology solutions for corporate entities.
- We handle a wide range of litigation matters as well as arbitration, mediation and other alternative conflict resolution methods.
- Our transactional services include drafting contracts and navigating purchases and sales of property, IP and other assets.
Our clients have access to more than just our knowledge and experience since we are associated with other well-respected law firms throughout the Puget Sound area and beyond. Furthermore, we maintain a global network of contacts in the Philippines, South Africa, Australia, Israel and London. Our international expertise and connections are unique and highly useful for our clients with global concerns.
Our Fees And Financial Philosophies
Transparency about our legal fees is part of what honesty means to us and our clients. Generally, we use an hourly rate or value-added or flat-fee agreements. On occasion, when a client requests so and there is a clear recovery, we consider using a mixed contingency agreement.
Our attorney charges an hourly rate of between $200 and $300 per hour for litigation or commercial legal advice before any case is filed. For a senior paralegal or junior attorney, we charge $100 to $175 per hour depending on the nature of the work. Administrative work is performed at the market rate.
We are always ready to work with clients on ways to keep our services within their budgets while supporting the continuity of our proven effective counsel and representation.
